Have you read one (or more) of the entries here at FaeDubh and are interested in writing for us? Well, we’re looking for more writers! We have a few different options available, so read on.

Job Requirements

  • Have web design experience. This is a group blog about web design, the internet, and different types of art forms. If your web design experience is low, make sure you can make up for it with good experience in one (or both) of the other two categories.
  • Speak English and be able to write well.

Freelance Writer
The first option is to write for us freelance, which means you write when you want to as much or as little as you want to. However, with that freedom also come restrictions. All pieces have to be approved before they go up on the site and freelancers can’t write asides. You have no deadlines but you don’t have staff status. All you have to do to become a freelance writer is email Skye (skyefairy at gmail dot com) your first article/blog piece. If it is accepted by Skye and Leo, Skye will respond with further information.

Staff Writer
Since we are willing to take on a higher amount of writers, we aren’t too pushy about deadlines. We understand that you have a life but, if you sign up to be a staff writer, we expect some sort of dedication (that’s why we have the freelance writer option). You also get more control / possibilities for your work. Staff writers can post blog articles without the piece being approved. Staff writers can also write asides. If you are able to provide us with some sort of sample of your work and we feel you’re up to the job, you can be added immediately to staff writer. However, if we aren’t sure or you have no sample, we ask that you write a freelance piece first. If that goes well and you are interested in becoming a staff writer, the option of becoming staff is always available. If you’re interested in applying for Staff Writer, email Skye (skyefairy at gmail dot com) with your name, website (if you have one), a little about yourself, and any samples you would like to provide.

As a sidenote, we are willing to accomodate your changing moods. You are able to move from Staff Writer to Freelance Writer if your availability / fear of commitment changes. And, as long as you’re doing good, you can move from Freelance to Staff with (nearly) as much ease.
